Forced to take early retirement in February 2010 due to Chronic Ill-Health (including Fibromyalgia, severe obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and debilitating back pain from degenerative disc disease among other pain/fatigue conditions), my new(ish) Photography hobby has been my lifesaver and become my Passion. While I have some restrictions in walking and movement, I feel blessed to be able to press the shutter button and capture a moment in time (to view for eternity). Whether it be in Nature or on the Urban Catwalk, Photography is the creative art that sustains and enriches my life as the days pass by.
This new Photo Blog, (I have 3), documents the amazing colours in the skies over Melbourne, Australia over recent years, especially while living for 20 months in a 3rd floor apartment overlooking the rooftops in 2015 & 2016. I never cease to be inspired and uplifted by the Light and Colours I see over this wonderful city I call home.
The ever-changing skies and cloud formations remind me of the Impermanence of Life and how important it is to live your life Mindfully, concentrating of what IS (not what WAS in the past and what MAY BE in the future).
Life is not a dress rehearsal. You don’t get to practice it over and over in the search for perfection before the Main Performance.
Life is about living the best you can with what you have, Right Now….in this very Moment.
